VADA/Nova Challenger Award
Sponsored by Mary Lou Sullivan
The discipline of dressage presents a unique challenge to horse and rider. Riders having a handicapping condition face additional demands, which in turn make the challenge of riding even greater. In order to recognize the efforts of these riders who participate in VADA/Nova schooling and licensed shows, the Challenger Awards have been established. The awards will be presented at the VADA/Nova annual banquet.
Riders with handicapping conditions are invited to complete the following form and return it to Dilly Jackson, Year-End Awards Coordinator, in order to be eligible for the Challenger Awards.
These awards will be given to VADA/Nova members in good standing who are junior or senior riders. The application must be received by December 1, 2008, in order to qualify for the award. Consideration and weight will be given to the following factors: number of classes ridden, level ridden, scores in those classes, and volunteer time.
Awards will be given for: Introductory, Training—Fourth and FEI levels for both schooling and licensed shows.
