The Highest Average Schooling Show Award

A $100.00 cash gift will be awarded at the VADA/Nova Chapter Awards Banquet to the horse and rider combination with the highest average of four (4) scores received at Schooling Shows. At least two (2) of the scores must be from classes at a VADA/Nova Schooling Show. (Musical freestyles excluded)

The Harmony Schooling Show Award

$50.00 cash gift will be awarded at the VADA/Nova Chapter Awards Banquet to the horse and rider combination with the second highest average of four (4) scores received at Schooling Shows. At least two (2) of the scores must be from classes at a VADA/Nova Schooling Show. (Musical freestyles excluded)

Trainer of the Year

To be awarded annually to the trainer whose students have achieved success during the year at schooling or licensed shows. Award will be given to the trainer with the highest average student score as determined below:

No special form needs to be completed, simply include the name of your primary trainer where indicated on the award report form for schooling and/or licensed shows

  • Trainer must be a VADA/Nova member
  • Average score as submitted for schooling or licensed shows for each student will be the score used
  • The three highest average scores from students will be used to calculate the highest average student score
  • Scores can be from either schooling or licensed shows, but scores can only be counted from each student once
  • Freestyle scores are not eligible
  • One student must be riding First level or above
  • No more than one student at Intro level can be counted

More VADA/Nova Special Awards

High Score Musical Freestyle Award

To be awarded to the highest scoring Musical Freestyle at any level (including Training Level). Please note that Pas de Deux and Quadrille are not eligible for this award. One award will be presented for the highest single score at Schooling Shows and one award for the highest single score at Licensed Shows.

  • Must submit 3 scores from at least 2 shows, one (1) of which must be a VADA/Nova show
  • Must be a VADA/Nova member at the time the scores are earned
  • Must fulfill the VADA/Nova volunteer requirement

The Rite This Time Award

To be awarded annually to an amateur rider at any level, 40 years or older, with the highest average score at licensedshows. (Musical freestyles excluded)

  • Must submit 3 scores from at least 2 shows, one of which must be a VADA/Nova licensed show
  • Must be a member at the time the scores are earned
  • Must fulfill the VADA/Nova volunteer requirements
  • To be considered for this award, please submit age or birth date with awards package

The Mare Challenge Award

To be awarded annually to the rider with the highest average score earned on a mare. One award will be given at USEF levels and one at FEI levels at licensed shows. This award is intended to recognize the unique challenges of competing a mare. (Musical freestyles excluded)

  • Must submit 3 scores from at least 2 shows, one (1) of which must be a VADA/Nova licensed show
  • Must be a member at the time the scores are earned
  • Must fulfill the VADA/Nova volunteer requirements
  • To be considered for this award, please indicate on your award form that you are competing a mare at licensed shows and would like to be eligible

The Elder Statesman Award

To be awarded annually to a horse at any level, 18 years or older, with the highest average score. One award will be presented for schooling shows and one for licensed shows. (Musical freestyles excluded)

  • Must submit 3 scores from at least 2 shows, one of which must be a VADA/Nova show
  • Must be a member at the time the scores are earned
  • Must fulfill the VADA/Nova volunteer requirements
  • To be considered for this award, please submit verification of age or birth date with awards package (such as registry papers with birthdate, copy of Coggins, or other)

The Lady Patrick Challenge

To be awarded annually to the horse/rider combination at any level at schooling shows, with the highest combined age. (Musical freestyles excluded). Note that this award is not based on best average score, rather the highest combined age.

The same/horse rider combination cannot win this award more than one time at the same level. In case of a tie, the horse/rider combination with the highest average score will receive the award.

  • Must submit 3 scores of 55% or better from at least 2 shows, one (1) of which must be a VADA/Nova schooling show
  • Must be a member at the time the scores are earned
  • Must fulfill the VADA/Nova volunteer requirements
  • To be considered for this award, please submit verification of age or birth date of both horse and rider with awards package (such as registry papers with birthdate, copy of Coggins, or other)

The High Score Adult Amateur Award

To be awarded annually at the VADA/Nova Chapter Awards Banquet to the adult amateur with the single highest score earned at a VADA/Nova licensed show (Musical freestyles excluded). One award will be given at USEF levels and one award for FEI levels .

  • Must be an adult amateur with USDF and USEF memberships (Provide cards when submitting awards packet)
  • Score must be from a VADA/Nova licensed show and must be 65% or higher for USEF levels, 60% or higher for FEI levels.
  • The same horse/rider combination is only eligible to win in either the USEF or FEI category, but may submit for both. If submitting for both, indicate preference of level for award

The Millenium Farm Award

To be awarded annually to the rider with the highest average score at licensed shows earned on a Thoroughbred. (Musical freestyles excluded).

  • Must submit 3 scores from at least 2 shows, one (1) of which must be a VADA/Nova licensed show
  • Must be a member at the time the scores are earned
  • Must fulfill the VADA/Nova volunteer requirements
  • This award is open to registered or unregistered Thoroughbreds. Must submit either a copy of Jockey Club registration papers, tattoo number, or affadavit from the breeder with the awards packet.

The Marefield Meadows Perpetual Trophy

To be awarded annually to the horse with the highest average score earned in the USEF Test for 4 year olds and the FEI Test for 5 or 6 year olds. Winner will have their name and year engraved on the trophy and will be able to display it for one year. Scores must be earned in the FEI tests for 5 or 6 year olds.

  • Must submit 3 scores, one (1) of which must be from a VADA/Nova show
  • Must be a member at the time the scores are earned
  • Must fulfill the VADA/Nova volunteer requirements

VADA/Nova Special Breed Awards

Note that Materiale and other under saddle classes do not count toward these awards

High Score Young Horse (Colts/Geldings/Fillies 2005-2008)

To be awarded annually to the young horse with the highest average score earned in Sport Horse Classes at licensed breed shows.

  • Must submit 2 scores, both of which must be at from licensed dressage sport horse classes. One (1) of the scores must be from the VADA/Nova Breed Show on June 11 or June 12, 2008.
  • Must be a member at the time the scores are earned
  • Owner must be a member
  • Must fulfill the VADA/Nova volunteer requirement

To qualify for any year-end awards you must fulfill your volunteer work requirement.
