2007 Adult Rider Program and Adult Rider Committee (ARC)
A Very Busy Year!

The Adult Rider Committee (ARC) of VADA/Nova is the voice of VADA/Nova's numerous adult members who are the backbone of our organization. The Committee's programs include activities of interest to serious adult competitors, professional trainers, as well as riders who are new to the sport of dressage.

VADA/Nova Adult Dressage Camp

August 4-6, 2007

Madeira School, McLean

Adult riders and their horses are participated in VADA/Nova’s USDF Dressage Camp from August 4 -6, 2007, at the Madeira School in McLean, Va. This event was very much appreciated by the participants.

The VADA/Nova Dressage Camp was organized by the Adult Rider Committee and featured individual instruction by popular clinicians Jim Koford and Kathy Rowse. Koford is a USDF Gold and Silver medalist, a four star three day event rider and winner of the 2003 USDF Region 1 Grand Prix Championship. He is currently showing several horses at the Grand Prix level and his Virginia clinics rarely have openings for new participants. Rowse is a USDF Gold, Silver, and Bronze medalist, and a USEF “S” dressage judge. She has been teaching and training horses and riders at all levels for 20 years. She believes that a consistent program is the best way to develop horses and riders to ensure a systematic and successful progression through the levels.

Some of the participants wrote about their experiences in articles you can see on our Contributed Articles page.
