Registration is required before Saturday, April 18, 2026 at 8:00 AM

Morven Park Equestrian Policy:
- Protective headgear must be worn by riders at all times when mounted.
- ABSOLUTELY NO LONGEING permitted in the Indoor or Outdoor Arenas.
- Riding/hacking/longeing is permitted in designated rented spaces only unless expressly requested by USER in writing and agreed to by MORVEN PARK.
- Emergency contact information shall be provided to the organizer and posted on the front of each stall to include rider's name, horse's name, telephone number, where the rider is staying, and an emergency contact name and telephone number.
- All used shavings and manure must be placed in muck pits located near each barn. Manure produced in the Indoor Arenas must be removed immediately. Muck tubs and forks are provided in the breezeway.
- Aisles and wash stalls must be cleaned of manure.
- Wash stalls are to be cleaned after each use and left free of manure at departure.
- Placing articles in barn aisles is done at the owner's risk. MORVEN PARK is not responsible for any lost/stolen items.
- Space heaters and bucket heaters are strictly prohibited in barns.
- Water must be turned off after each use. Horses are not to be tied to water hydrants at any time.
- Biohazard materials (e.g., needles, syringes, etc.) must be placed in the RED biohazard containers located in each barn.

Cancellation Policy:

Cancellations will be accepted by email to the Event Contact until 8 am on April 18th, with full refund, minus a $10 handling fee. No refunds will be given for any reason after 8 am on April 18th.

Registration - limited to 10 riders
Open to VADA/Nova Members on March 14th and open to non-members on March 28th. Registration closes April 14. We will keep a waiting list. Successful registrations will be notified via email.
Requirements:
- Completed entry and payment
- Current Coggins
- Flu/Rhino immunization certificate (current within last 6 months) - members can upload these to their member file; non-members can submit by e-mail to the event coordinator

Cost - Clinic fee - $175 for members; $195 for non-members; refunds if cancelation is more than 2 weeks before the clinic date minus a $10 handling fee.
Day stalls will be available ($35); shavings can be ordered in advance ($11/bag).

Snacks and refreshments will be available to participants.

Clinic Goal: We all seek a positive and harmonious relationship with our horses, but there are often bumps in the road to that partnership where a better understanding how horses think and learn can ultimately help make that partnership thrive. Michael Alway is a gifted trainer with extensive knowledge of horsemanship from his work with Pat and Linda Parelli, his time starting horses in Europe, and his own experience as a competitor. Many VADA/Nova members have already benefitted working with him to learn how to better handle their horses with confidence and empathy. Whether you are troubleshooting challenges with your horse or looking to strengthen your partnership going into competition season, Michael is an incredible resource for both horse and rider. Whatever your issue is –- starting a young horse, understanding why your horse is overly reactive in new environments, or loading your horse on a trailer – you’re sure to take away valuable insights from this clinic. The morning session will conclude with a 30-minute demonstration by Michael of how he has used his techniques to address certain issues.
